| Other comments | My first computer back in the mid-80s was a Mac (the original all-in-one, stand alone, beige box); so was the next (a Performa) and the next (a G3 iMac) and the current G5 iMac. I've never owned a Windows machine and I use one only when circumstances force me to do so (kicking and screaming). I don't work in the tech world (I'm a jewelry designer by trade) but I'm a computer junkie nevertheless – not that I know that much about how this infernal and marvelous machine works, but I couldn't live without it. I came to the Microsoft newsgroups when I had a problem to solve and stuck around to learn and eventually answer questions myself. One day an email tapped me on the shoulder to say I'd been awarded as an MVP for my volunteer efforts. I was shocked. I was also thrilled, honored and delighted to become a part of this amazing community of people who are so willing to share their enormous expertise. What a great trip it's been! |
